Day #31
Last year while feather shopping I ran into another hat maker, the beautiful and talented Caley of Miss G Designs. (You can see her work here… http://www.facebook.com/missgdesigns and http://www.etsy.com/shop/MissGDesignsShop) I had seen her work around and was impressed and intimidated by the range of beautiful creations she had made, which have an earthy tribal flare, while still remaining feminine and sensual!! I invited her to yoga classes at my place, and low and behold, she loves yoga and her and her man have been coming ever since! But it didn’t stop there, practically every week we find more things we have in common, and it’s almost as if we were meant to become friends :-) I really adore her, and so when she asked that Lucky and I shoot a few of her creations I was immensely flattered and excited! Here is the first of her creations we were lucky (no pun intended) enough to shoot! I felt like royalty when I put it on, the craftsmanship was perfect down to every last detail, it was lined beautifully, stayed on super comfortably, and was practically weightless despite how decadent and extravagant it looks when it’s on. I must say that despite how ridiculous it is, I may someday invest in one of her headdresses, cause I fell in love! Please take a look at her wares, and spread the word about her fanciful feather and floral creations! You will be awestruck I promise! - Sylva
One whole month of photos EVERY DAY and neither one of us has cut the other one:) It’s actually quite amazing and I’m soooo happy to be doing this even though it can be a bit stressful when one of us may not be feeling it at the time. I haven’t been this productive photography wise in many, many years. I think I’ll celebrate with cookies and a beer:) - Lucky
It’s all in the memory of the taste and smell
(to those who haven’t been to the Black Rock Desert, the dust has a very distinct smell and taste, and to burners it’s the smell of home)
